Mne Shaw-Tullin made an extraordinary debut for the England Senior Squad, securing a gold medal in Edinburgh with two impressive victories.

Kyle defeated Scottish Champion Alex Arthur Jr. in a highly anticipated match, displaying excellent skill and strategy to overcome the reigning Scottish Champion.

Continuing his winning streak the following day, Kyle defeated the formidable Welsh Champion, Cole Harris, showcasing his versatility, endurance, and boxing talent.

Shaw-Tullin said, ‘I had 2 fights in 2 days; the Scottish number 1 and the Wales number 1, which were both very good opponents and tough fights. The first day was a 4-1 split decision win, and on day 2 was a third round stoppage win against the Welsh.’

Winning gold on his debut for the England Senior Squad has set a strong foundation for the young Marines future in the sport at the senior level.

Royal Navy Head Boxing Coach, PO Nick McGarry said, ‘Shaw-Tullin’s performance has confirmed his status as a rising star in the boxing world. His dedication, skill, and determination are sure to bring further successes in his boxing career.’

Kyle has shown impressive progression to become the 2024 Tri-Nations Champion after only joining the Royal Navy Boxing team earlier this year. The Association commented, ‘We are all extremely proud, he has shown admirable dedication to the sport and has become a role model for any aspiring athletes.’

Praising the support from the Royal Marines, Kyle said, ‘it has been unreal, and it’s always a huge honour representing the corps, and knowing the lads always have my back gives me that extra motivation.’

The future looks bright for the Marine’s boxing career and his next ambition is ‘to continue gaining international experience representing England and earn my sport on the Great British Squad.’
