1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King's Harbour Master Portsmouth that Surveying Operations and Maintenance Dredging will be conducted in the maintained areas within Portsmouth Harbour and its approach channels from 11 to 18 October 2022. 2. The two areas within the harbour that this campaign will focus on are the berth pockets at Bedenham Pier and the harbour entrance. The contractor for the works will be Boskalis Westminster Ltd using the “plough” vessel “F48” (LOA 14.7m) and Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) “SOSPAN DAU” (LOA 71.1m). During these works the “F48” will also be carrying out all necessary survey operations, both vessels will display the appropriate signals when conducting survey and dredging operations. 3. Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout and pass at slow speed while dredging operations are being conducted. All dredging and surveying craft will maintain a listening watch on VHF Ch 11 throughout operations. 4. KHM Harbour Control will be kept informed of work in progress and will de-conflict movements with other marine traffic.
