RYDE REGATTA ROWING EVENT - 8 JUNE 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King's Harbour Master Portsmouth, that the Ryde Rowing Regatta will take place on Saturday 8 June  at Ryde Sands. In case of poor weather the regatta will be postponed until Sunday 9 June 2024.

2. The western end of the racing zone will be marked by yellow triangular buoys, approximately 0.25NM southeast of Ryde Pier Head. The rowing lanes will be marked by 12 orange and red buoys. 

3. There will be approximately 12 rowing vessels competing at any one time.

4. Racing starts at 1000 and will be complete by 1800.

5. The primary support vessel will be ‘Ryde Inshore Rescue’ which is a 8m black and orange rigid hulled inflatable vessel (RHIB). There are three other support vessels, a 5m grey/orange RHIB (Callsign ‘Ryde Safety), a 5m blue RHIB and ‘STAN’ which a 9m motor vessel. All these vessels will be listening on VHF Channel 1 and 16. 

6. The buoys will be deployed until 1700 Monday 10 June.
