1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth that the Environment Agency (EA) will be conducting intertidal survey operations using a hovercraft within Portsmouth Harbour. Works are scheduled to take place on 3 separate dates 7 and 24 July and 10 August 2024. 2. The surveys are to gain data on intertidal habitat, mapping and sediment sampling, macroalgae and seagrass. Works will be taking place over the low water tidal windows so achieving access onto the mudflats within harbour.
3. The contractor for works undertaken is Intertidal Ltd using “INSPECTOR B” (LOA 5.7m) with all works being conducted during daylight hours. The vessels will be listening to VHF Channel 11 throughout and will keep well clear of all other craft using the harbour. It is planned to launch and recover the hovercraft from Wicor Marine.

4. KHM Harbour Control will be kept informed of the vessel’s area of operations and may be contacted on VHF Ch 11 or by telephoning 02392 723689 for the latest information. 5. Cancel this Local Notice to Mariners on 12 August 2024.
